Eyes Screening, Donation of Eye Glasses And Drugs

Rotary Club of Onigbongbo in Partnership with Oyetunji Gbenjo Foundation organised two days Free Eye screening with donations of eye glasses and drugs to the inhabitants of our community on the 1st October and 2nd November, 2019 at the Onigbongbo Primary Health Center and the Palace square respectively.

This project was to assist the inhabitants of our community who could not afford attending eye clinics because of unavailability of fund and are suffering from various eye diseases. Also to educate them on how to enhance their sight by eating the right diets which will prevent their eyes from diseases.

The total number of inhabitants that registered was Two Hundred and Fifty Four (254),comprising of One Hundred and Fifty Six (156) Female and Ninety Eight (98) Male. One Hundred and Fifty (154) eye glasses were given to those that required them. Two Hundred and Twelve (212) Patients were given drugs including those given glasses and Five patients were referred for cataract operations.
